Why fire extinguishers are essential

A functional, accessible fire extinguisher is a crucial piece of home safety equipment in any residence, as is safety fire blankets. Although fires are not frequent, many of us will experience one at some point in our lifetime, so it is important that we stay prepared at all times. Room at especially high risk for fires, such as the kitchen and laundry room, should be equipped with their own fire extinguishers. This minimizes the time before the fire can be extinguished, thereby mitigating the damages to the home. Fires pose a grave risk to all families, especially those with young children.
