An Unforgettable Experience_Shopping with $1000

Getting one thousand dollars just for shopping will be a great experience for me. It will definitely go to a biggest shopping mall like Western mall in Pune. This is the place where I can buy anything. I will try to purchase decent clothes for me. I am also a fan of food and electronics accessories. So when I will have this opportunity I will decide what exactly to go for. But mostly I will buy a laptop which will make me remember of this thousand dollar shopping. So without wasting time I will plan what to buy and how to spend this gift money on myself and will always remember the event.
If Only I Could Change the World

If I could change one thing about the world, I would change the violence that is generated because of warring religious groups. I don’t understand how different religious groups can create such disagreements when the core of religion and spirituality should be peace and love. It’s a shame that just because people have small differences in opinion, horrific wars and violence have been caused. I hope that one day people can learn to accept the differences of others and get along, regardless of what religion or belief system they are a part of. It seems like a long shot, but in the end I think it would solve so many of the world’s problems.

My Musical Tastes

My favorite genre of music by far would have to be country. I grew up in a very rural setting and therefore was exposed to this genre a lot as a child, so it reminds of my being younger when everything seemed simpler. My least favorite genre of music has to be electronic and techno music. I was never exposed to this genre when I was younger, and therefore never developed a liking for it. I don’t really understand its repetitive nature and also don’t understand what type of musical talent is really involved in creating this type of music. Maybe one day I will find some that I like, but I haven’t yet.
A Long Way From Home

I have not traveled much in my life, although when I was younger my family went on several skiing trips. Every year we would all pack a bag and drive to a resort for a week to blow off some steam. The farthest we ever traveled was to Vermont from our home state of Maryland. We stayed for four nights at a very nice resort there, and spent our days skiing and hanging out in the lodge. It was a great experience, especially because it was so much different than the smaller ski resorts we had visited in Pennsylvania. I would love to travel to other resorts across the country in the future.
We All Have Memories

Some such as photographs, important documents, kids’ school paperwork, and others are irreplaceable memories we own. I could not imagine life without these things. Soon after I became independent, I purchased a fireproof box. It was large enough to store irreplaceable things in it. All in all these are a great investment. If you have larger objects you would never want wrecked by fire, a fireproof safe would also be a sound investment. Sometimes in the after math of a fire these fireproof boxes and safes are the only remains of your home. Obviously I could live life without these things if worst comes to worst, but I would rather not.
A Thousand Dollars in Electronics

If I had $1000 to use on a shopping spree, but could only use it at one location, I would have to choose to spend the money at an electronics store such as Best Buy. This store would be perfect for me because it has a wide selection of various electronics, from car stereos to video game consoles. I would definitely purchase some new appliances for my kitchen because many of them are old an outdated, and I would like the new ones to be more up to date and visibly appealing. I would also purchase a new car stereo for my nephew because he just received a new car for his birthday and has been looking for audio equipment to install for some time now.
My Life’s Work

Throughout my life I have had a wide variety of jobs. When I was younger I worked in grocery stores mostly, just trying to make enough money to have fun on the weekends and put gas in my car. As I got older I needed a higher income to put myself through college, and began working in restaurants. During this period of my life I worked mostly as a cook. I liked these jobs the most because of the multitasking and quick thinking they required. Following my graduation, I got a job working for an environmental firm, which was very rewarding because of the assistance I was providing for my community. It will be interesting to see what other jobs I end up working down the road.

A Very Worthwhile Investment

Fire extinguishers are a very worthwhile investment. You never know when a simple cooking task will break out into a large fire. Many nights of enjoying French fries have started small grease fires. Though we were able to smother them with the pan lid, there is always that chance we will not be able to one day. We had a blender that caught fire, of course after unplugging it the machine was still ablaze. That small investment made a big difference. Mind you, you may never have to use your extinguisher, but I would rather invest in something I would never use, than taking a chance of not having it and losing my home.
A Dream Vacation

If had the opportunity to go on vacation anywhere in the world, I would definitely travel to New Zealand. I have had several friends that have lived here, and it sounds like a beautiful location. The opportunities for a career in photography are also abundant because of the exotic wildlife and extravagant architecture in many locations. In addition, the native language is English, and therefore would not require my family to become familiar with a new language. We are all avid surfers and snowboarders too, and New Zealand is a fantastic location to be involved in both of these activities. If I could travel to anywhere in the world, it would definitely be New Zealand.
Smashing Glass

Most people who know me would be totally shocked by my secret dream and urge. And that is an urge to smash glass and China. Obviously I have restrained myself well for decades, so you do not need to worry. But if I walk through the fine china and glassware departments in a department store, I long and wish for the chance to smash it all to smithereens. An overhead rack of stemware in a pub or bar provides the same dream, and so does walking through a liquor store. Even televisions lined up like soldiers, one after another showing the evening news or some video in the electronics department make me want to destroy them all. I want to hear the glass smashing and breaking, and I want to gloat in the expression of my deep, deep destructive desire – a desire no one knows I have. Except you, of course.
