The Race Issue As A Non-Issue For The Human Race

February 28, 2012 by · Leave a Comment

The major change that I would make in the world for people to get along better would be to make race a non-issue. The color of people’s skin and ethnic cleansing issues would no longer exist for anyone. This might prevent a lot of wars and massacres if everyone felt that we are all equal no matter what our origins, color, ethnic background or place of birth. The appreciation and celebration of diversity without separation by differences would make a more peaceful world where we come together and pull together for the betterment of all mankind. This is an idea that needs to be adopted by all people for the sake of developing a legacy of peace and unity for the future.

A Love Affair With Music That Is A Magnificent Diversity

February 25, 2012 by · Leave a Comment

The love of music is the embodiment of diversity for me since I am emotionally attached to all types and all genres. I am most fond of rhythm and blues, jazz, hip-hop, gospel, rock and country. I also like concert, big band, and easy rock. All music is pleasant to my ear and causes me to be sooth, passionate, aroused and melancholy. The only music I have any difficulty understanding and connecting with is heavy metal and acid rock. These two musical art forms are rather harsh on my hearing and have no melodious tune. I realize that they are pleasant to others and that is fine. I strongly feel that everyone must find their own musical genre and be happy with its emotional connection for them.

A Visit To Italy For A Culinary Delight

February 21, 2012 by · Leave a Comment

My trip to Italy was for pleasure and a mission of culinary discovery. It is the furthest that I have ever been from home and was well worth the travel. I found a wonderful world of new ways to cook and delight the taste buds with tantalizing spices, cooking techniques and creative recipes. The observance of chefs at work with a delicate touch, measuring sense, blending of flavors, textures, fusion of tastes, colors and magnificent drinks and desserts made me focus on the instructions, notes and methods of preparation. The final products were excellent in taste and will forever remain a memory of delight and discovery.

Operating A Fire Hose

February 18, 2012 by · Leave a Comment

Most people think operating a fire hose is as easy as turning on some water, picking up the hose, and pointing at the target: a building engulfed in flames or, rarely used these days, an excessively violent means of crowd control. In fact, operating a fire house at full blast requires several strong individuals to control the direction of the water. Using only one person would result in the fire hose swinging violently through the air and most likely taking the person holding it for an unexpected ride through the air. If you doubt what I’m saying, by all means try it.

A Shopping Spree In A Great City

February 17, 2012 by · Leave a Comment

A great city to have a $1,000 shopping spree in would be New York City and the store would have to be Macy’s. It is a wonderful town and Macy’s is a dream store with fashions from around the world. I love clothes and being able to see all the latest styles from the many fashion savvy buyers come together in one store is heaven to me. The plan would be for the money to be spent on a weekender suit that consists of a pants suit, skirt, two tops, a matching dress, shoes and a purse. The outfit would be for business, casual, evening and travel. A great store like Macy’s should fulfill my wishes for the complete ensemble.

I Protect My Home

I do the best that I can to make sure my apartment is safe and secure. I want the satisfaction of knowing that someone can’t come in and steal my expensive dog that I have had forever. He cost me a lot of money and the criminals and thieves have been lurking around my home. I don’t know what I would do if they came and got him. We have been the best of buddies since I brought him in the home. I am going to get a fire safe as well because it is a nice thing to have.

Experiences That Last From An Employment History

February 14, 2012 by · Leave a Comment

The employment experiences that I possess include: working as a hired hand on a hauling truck in my community, technical writing assistant for the federal government in contracts of lading, clerical worker for community service programs, administrative assistant for social service programs, education, training and employment placement counselor for city government and being a mental health counselor that is self-employed. The vocation of being a self-employed mental health counselor is the noblest employment that I have held in my life. It is being a steward in service to others with the intent to “do no harm.” I offer help with advocacy, non-judgment, information, support and planning to assist those seeking to improve their lives.

The Exotic Vacation I Have Always Desired

February 9, 2012 by · Leave a Comment

The vacation of my dreams has always been to go to Africa with the intent to see elephants up close and very personal. I have always loved elephants with all my heart and felt the need to commune with them in person. The sight of them evokes a passion in me that makes me want to spend some time talking and soothing them with a compassionate touch. I am excited by the size, texture of their skin, looking into their eyes and being able to tend and care for them moves me on a very emotional and spiritual level. Visiting “Mother Africa,” is a dream that I hope to make reality in the future.

A Compulsive Manipulator

February 6, 2012 by · Leave a Comment

Most people do not know that I am a manipulative individual who has no problem saying what is needed to get what I want.  My friends and family are not out of bounds.  I am always thinking a few steps ahead in every situation to see how it best suits me.  Most people around me do not realize this and it is to my benefit.  Sometimes I am embarrassed by this as it is not a great quality to have but it’s a part of me and who I am.  I catch myself doing it sometime sand try to be a little more care free and allow people to have their way. The only person that knows this about me is my wife and she will call me out on it occasionally but since we are married a lot of times whatever the situation is she benefits also.

Charm Over Muscle

February 2, 2012 by · Leave a Comment

I don’t have very many great physical features to brag about and I won’t say that I am unattractive but I cannot see any one mistaking me for model material.  I make up for that though in my charm and ability to talk.  My adaptability to any situation ensures a level playing field when I am up against an Adonis looking individual. As the girls sometimes say its not all about the looks there has got to be some brains too.  What one person may have more of in brawn I can sure make for with my mouth, actions and charm.
