I really do like lots of the ways that the internet has changed the modern world. I happen to think it is one of the best and most important inventions that have happened in my lifetime. The internet has made it so much easier to learn new things and provide you with libraries worth of information at your fingertips. So long as you have an internet connection there is really always something to do. From getting the news that you want when you want it to being able to play games. You can even do lots of your Christmas and holiday shopping right at home and find gift ideas you never would have before.

The fun of Memphis
September 25, 2010 by admin · Leave a Comment
While the heat of the south is a bit extreme, being near such a unique city like Memphis more than makes up for it. It is filled with so much to do. There are lots of places that you can go to listen to great music. There are plenty of restaurants that serve some of the best food you’ll find. Best of all, is that every year there is a large music festival that last all weekend with a wide range of music for all taste. All this combined with southern hospitality and lots of suburbs that allow you to be near the big city without feeling over whelmed by it.

When I was growing up, so many movies and TV shows were filled with science fiction space adventures. From Star Wars, Star Trek and all the others I’ve seen I think that it would be incredible to be exploring space. Going out there and seeing new places that no one had ever seen seem before. Being able to be the first person to set foot on some strange distant world filled with things that are new and unknown. Especially if I could have one of those spaceships that you always see in the movies. Able to bring all the comforts of home with you while you are flying around the galaxy.

Lucky, simple or just stupid

I suppose I am either lucky or simple and easy to please. While not perfect by any means, I think I already have the things I would like in life. I was lucky enough to have been born in a loving and caring family, several good friends that I get along great with, and goofy little cats that I adore. I have a home and life that I am very happy with. If there was anything I wanted it would be to have and enjoy it all as long as possible. So I am lucky or just suffering from a lack of ambition.
Powder fire extinguishers should be Properly Stored
September 14, 2010 by admin · Leave a Comment
We all know the damages a fire can cause and do our best to prevent one from happening. However, we also hope that if ever a fire happens we should have easy access to powder fire extinguishers to minimize the damage. But unfortunately, I have noticed that in the apartment building I live in, a discount powder fire extinguisher are put in cabinets that appear to be deadly locked up! I tried to discuss this with the administration office of the building and the answer I got was: “We have to make sure that the powder fire extinguishers will not be stolen.”
The gift of music
September 13, 2010 by admin · Leave a Comment
For me the most important items that I posses would probably be my guitar. I grew up in a household where there was almost always music playing in the background. Then, when I was fourteen, my mother bought me a bright red electric guitar and paid for music lessons. As I learned more about the techniques and dedication involved in playing the guitar, it moved from the typical teenage to real appreciation. I cherish the guitar and I learned from my lessons so much because it is one of the gifts that my mother gave me before she passed away.

No place like home for the holidays
September 9, 2010 by admin · Leave a Comment
For me holidays are such a wonderful time. Even though they can be stress full at times; I always make it a point to spend the holidays with my family and friends surrounded by good food. I throw always throw a nice simple get together with plenty to eat. Everyone comes by and we sit around and chat and laugh as we all eat a nice fresh roasted turkey and pumpkin pie for desert. As the night winds down we sit on the sofa and watch some videos I rented. For me, the holidays are just such a nice excuse to get together with those you care for.
All work and no play takes half the fun out of life

With the stresses of daily life it is so important to remember to make time to do things that are fun and relaxing. I always try to set aside a little time for the fun things I like to do. I’m more of a home body. I love to spend time chatting and playing games with my friends, or just curling up on the couch with a big bowl of popcorn and watching a good movie while my cat curls up in my lap. It is such a great way to unwind and relax after a long day at work.
Nothing beats spending a day shopping at the mall
September 2, 2010 by admin · Leave a Comment
While malls are not quite as popular as the use to be; I still love to make a day out of shopping at the mall. With all the shops all close together it one place it makes it such a treat to just walking along and window shop as you browse the various stores. You can visit a dozen stores or more and not have to deal with the hassle of driving to different places. And when you get tired of shopping you can always stop by at the food court and get a soft drink and something to eat while you spend some time talking with your friends or family. And once you’re done you can finish you day out with seeing a movie at the local cineplex.
