Nothing beats spending a day shopping at the mall

September 2, 2010 by admin · Leave a Comment

While malls are not quite as popular as the use to be; I still love to make a day out of shopping at the mall. With all the shops all close together it one place it makes it such a treat to just walking along and window shop as you browse the various stores. You can visit a dozen stores or more and not have to deal with the hassle of driving to different places. And when you get tired of shopping you can always stop by at the food court and get a soft drink and something to eat while you spend some time talking with your friends or family. And once you’re done you can finish you day out with seeing a movie at the local cineplex.

My Phone Carriers is Ok

August 31, 2010 by admin · Leave a Comment

My phone carrier is At&t. I am a prepaid customer.  It’s tolerable, but I don’t like the point where I must put fifteen dollars on my phone. Perhaps, they could allow someone to put ten dollars on their phone. I don’t use all my minutes, because I don’t like talking to people, so I buy text messages. Though there is a feature where one can buy only text messages, but I’m a bit concerned as if my account says zero dollars will I be able to use those messages? I can ask I suppose. Other than that, At&t is a pretty descent phone carrier service.

Being Bored With a Computer

This week was as boring as the last before the last. Thought there were some awesome and unbelievable things that happened within this week, I still consider it boring or lacking action or perhaps horror. I lost my best friend over something I would believe was stupid. Oh, it was basically over a game. I mean come one get over it. Anyways, that was like the climax of the week and I’m still a bit angry. Moving on, basically I spend all my time on the websites Tagged.com and Imvu.com also my e-mail address sites like hotmail and yahoo. In addition, I went to YouTube to watch Jo Koy, a comedian, he’s pretty funny. Other than that, I was either eating or sleeping. Yeah, I seem lazy, but I’m only half lazy.

Photo of the Day

August 24, 2010 by admin · Leave a Comment

This year I decided to do a project where I’d be in a picture every day and post it on Facebook.  I thought it would be a good exercise to help me find something interesting in my life each day, even the days when it seems like the most fascinating thing I do is buy mouthwash on the way home from work.  Some days it’s been hard to come up with anything to post, let alone something creative, but it’s been a fun challenge.  The year is more than halfway over and I haven’t skipped a day yet.  A lot of my friends seemed to be pretty entertained seeing what I come up with each day.

If I could have lunch with any three people that I know, it would probably be my cousin Erin, my friend Steve, and my friend Philip.  They all have great senses of humor and are pretty deep thinkers.  They also all live in different states and I’m excited whenever I get to spend time with any of them, so share a meal with all of them at once would definitely be a treat.  If the three people could be anyone, not just people I know and not limited to people who are still alive, it would probably be some combo along the lines of Jesus Christ, Fidel Castro, and Oprah Winfrey—all fascinating, dynamic people, though from very different worldviews and backgrounds.

Why fire extinguishers are essential

August 18, 2010 by admin · Leave a Comment

A functional, accessible fire extinguisher is a crucial piece of home safety equipment in any residence, as is safety fire blankets. Although fires are not frequent, many of us will experience one at some point in our lifetime, so it is important that we stay prepared at all times. Room at especially high risk for fires, such as the kitchen and laundry room, should be equipped with their own fire extinguishers. This minimizes the time before the fire can be extinguished, thereby mitigating the damages to the home. Fires pose a grave risk to all families, especially those with young children. Once of an adequate age, all children should be taught how to properly operate fire extinguishers.

Yum

I really enjoy good food and would have trouble choosing a favorite.  I like lots of ethnic foods and trying new dishes.  There aren’t really any foods occurring in nature that I don’t like, but sometimes the way things are prepared kind of gross me out.  For example, I don’t like really mayonnaise-y stuff or overcooked vegetables.  If I had to choose a favorite food, pizza would likely be at the top of the list.  I love the combination of flavors and textures!  I like a lot of sweet, slushy beverages, but my favorite is probably caramel frappuccino—heaven in a cup!

A fire extinguisher is a modern equipment device used for protection and control against small fires. It is often used in emergency situations for stopping small fires only but not is able to control big fires, it needs to contact to fires department for big fires. Presently there are two main types of fire extinguishers: stored pressure and cartridge-operated. These extinguishers may be filled with chemicals like Nitrogen, Carbon dioxide and some are filled with Air. Nowadays these cheap fire extinguishers are used in various fields like hospitals, schools, hotels, airports etc.

Family Matters

Since I’m an only child, my immediate family is just my mother, father and me.  I haven’t lived in the same state as my parents for about seven years.  My mom and I have a lot in common and talk on the phone a lot.  We get along well, although we do better when we don’t live in the same house.  My dad and I have a harmonious relationship, but we don’t really have as much in common, so I sometimes don’t know what to talk about with him.  As far as extended family, my dad’s side of the family is a lot bigger, but I haven’t spent as much time with them.  On my mom’s side, I only have two uncles (one single and one married) and two cousins.

Personal Fashion

I tend to wear clothes that are somewhat casual, but dressed up with accessories and that combine for a fairly polished look.  A typical outfit for me would be dark jeans, bright solid-colored t-shirt, dark-colored hoodie or jacket, dressy-ish sandals, and bold earrings or necklace.  I look best in cool, jewel-toned colors, like turquoise, royal blue, raspberry and emerald green, and prints don’t look very good with my coloring.  Most of my friends dress more casually, and they consider my fashion trademarks to be large earrings, noteworthy necklaces, embellished sandals, and bold but tasteful handbags.  I enjoy shopping (especially finding bargains!), but do sometimes get frustrated trying to find clothes that fit me properly since I am tall.
